Guess who made Vendor of the Week over at Polka Dot Bride! Very flattered to be featured by an inspiring bridal blog.

It’s been a while since I visited the M.A.C. Pro store in Paddington (usually I browse the products at Myer or David Jones) and I do a lot of research online – A LOT! Technology has made so much possible these days – love or hate Facebook, everyday I get to network/chat/joke/laugh/compare products/techniques/business advice with other Makeup Artists around the world. I’ve lost count of the number of groups I am a part of but only a few of them warrant daily visits. I would miss it if I could not connect with some of these artists who I would now call my friends. Of course, there’s good old Google – you can type in a product and see swatches and reviews.
Anyway I digress, I have been keeping a “Wanties” list of M.A.C. products based on recommendations from other artists and I really needed to update my membership to the M.A.C. Pro Program. Luckily the weather was a bit rainy so it meant the shop was quiet except for another customer (other times I’ve been there it has always been really busy).
So what did I buy?
So even though you can find cheap or fake M.A.C. online, don’t even go there. Always buy genuine because the fakes are not made to the same standard (for example they can contain high amounts of lead).
There was no better way to end 2013 than with a Preview Consultation for Jen’s upcoming March wedding. Jen’s look is understated to suit her afternoon garden wedding. She’s wearing really natural looking Ardell 110 lashes (but we might switch to something with a little bit more oomph) and M.A.C. lipstick in Cosmo.
