Mobile Sydney Makeup Artist servicing
Weddings, Special Events, Portraits and Lessons
I enjoy working with everyday women and the connection I make on a really personal level when it comes to people’s perception of themselves. Transforming my clients into the most beautiful version of themselves is amazing. I find it really humbling making people feel better about themselves.
I completed a Certificate IV in Makeup Technology in 2001 at Art & Technology of Makeup College (one of Sydney’s oldest and respected Makeup Colleges). I take my education and training seriously and to keep pushing my standards I have recently completed Masterclasses with Rae Morris, Martin Bray and Donna Mee – all amazing artists and mentors in the industry. In the early part of my career I enjoyed working as a Consultant on a makeup counter where the fast pace and many diverse clients were fundamental to gaining greater experience with global features and skintones.
I make it a priority to stay current with fashion trends, networking, testing with photographers, attending workshops, road-testing products and absorbing as much as I can. I pride myself on being reliable, easy-going and paying special attention to all the details – taking the time to get to know you and your vision of how you want to look.
Elegant, natural makeup is my passion – I work hard to make you the centre of attention not your makeup. I like skin to be flawless but also natural looking and eyes to be nicely defined. I like choosing colours that enhance features and hair colour – e.g. the right lipstick should bring out the colour of your eyes. I want you to look beautiful to the naked eye but also photograph beautifully. I don’t do a lot of contouring unless requested. My job is to make you look like a more polished version of YOURSELF, you want your friends and family to be able to recognise you! For wedding makeup I usually suggest a classic look that will not date, however, I am happy to create whatever it is you would like on your day.
Products in my Kit
I research and road-test everything on myself before it goes into the kit. Some makeup artists work at beauty counters which means they can end up carrying more products from a single brand. My kit is stocked with a range of different brands that I believe are the best in their class for their designed purpose. Most of the brands you will be familiar with and others are industry products designed for HD photography. I do not airbrush as I use products and tools which give the same results without having to carry around extra equipment. Where I can, I use products that are waterproof or long-wearing so that your makeup lasts for many hours.
